A Faith-Filled, Prophetic Word of Encouragement
By Crystal G.H. Lowery
Not every season looks like spring.
The calendar might say May, and the flowers might be blooming, but you may feel like you’re still buried in winter. You may be watching the world blossom around you while your own life feels hidden, unseen, or delayed. But here is a prophetic truth: God often hides what He values most.
If you feel hidden in this season, you’re not lost—you’re being planted.
Planted, Not Buried
There’s a holy distinction between being buried and being planted. Burial signifies the end of a thing. But planting? That means something is just beginning.
Jesus said in John 12:24 (TPT):
“Let me make this clear: A single grain of wheat will never be more than a single grain of wheat unless it drops into the ground and dies. Because then it sprouts and produces a great harvest of wheat—all because one grain died.”
A seed must go underground before it can reach upward. In the same way, your current season may feel dark, quiet, or even lifeless—but it’s exactly where God is doing His deepest work. Hidden seasons are holy seasons.
God Works in Secret Places
Throughout Scripture, God moves in secret places before there is public display.
– Moses spent 40 years in Midian, hidden from Pharaoh, shepherding sheep before he ever led Israel.
– David was anointed king while still a youth but was sent back to the fields—his crown delayed, his faith refined.
– Jesus, the King of Glory, lived 30 years in near-obscurity before three years of public ministry changed the world.
God isn’t slow—He’s strategic. What looks like delay is often divine development. The wilderness is where God prepares you for the promise. And in the quiet places, He speaks the clearest.
Prophetic Word: You Are Being Rooted for Revelation
Here’s what I sense prophetically: God is anchoring His people in this season. While many are asking for promotion, He is giving preparation. While some are asking to be seen, He is giving them substance. He’s not ignoring you—He’s investing in you.
This is a time when roots are going deep. God is ensuring that when He reveals what He’s planted in you, it will be unshakable. If the root doesn’t go deep, the fruit can’t endure.
Isaiah 61:3 (NKJV) says we are:
“trees of righteousness, the planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified.”
This is not the time to uproot yourself out of discouragement. Stay planted. Stay faithful. Stay surrendered. God is getting ready to bloom what’s been hidden.
Bloom in the Waiting
The enemy would love for you to believe that you have to wait until circumstances change to bloom. But the Word says you can bloom anyway.
You can worship before the breakthrough. You can walk by faith before the fulfillment. You can grow strong while no one sees it happening—because God sees it all.
Even in hard soil, the seed still grows.
In Galatians 6:9 (AMP) we’re reminded:
“Let us not grow weary in well-doing, for in due time we will reap if we do not give in.”
Your “due time” is not on a human calendar—it’s in the hands of the Lord.
Faith Key: Don’t Dig Up What You Planted in Faith
The temptation in hidden seasons is to question what God said—to doubt the vision, the calling, or the timing. But don’t dig up in discouragement what you planted in faith.
Water the word. Speak life. Worship in the waiting.
The Lord is saying to many right now:
“I have not buried you—I have planted you. I am developing you in places no one can see so that, when I reveal you, no storm will be able to uproot you.”
A Blooming Promise
Let May be your prophetic reminder: even if you feel hidden, even if nothing looks like it’s moving, you are blooming on the inside. Your roots are going deep. Your stem is pushing upward. And your fruit is being formed in secret.
You don’t need applause to bloom. You don’t need perfect conditions to grow. You only need the presence of the One who planted you.
Lift your eyes. The season is changing. And when the time is right, you will emerge with fruit that remains.
So bloom anyway.
